1928 - the foundation stone for a successful company history is laid
It was Friedrich Jäkel who started his small forge in the village of Wrexen.
He focussed on the manufacture and sharpening of tools and knives for the quarries of the time.
However, it was not long before the first parts for agricultural machinery were produced. Even at this time, it was clear that a company with great potential was to emerge from these small beginnings. With a great deal of intuition, investment and the necessary entrepreneurial vision, the second generation succeeded in significantly expanding the product range in 1963.
Master mechanical engineer Hans-Georg Jäkel and business graduate Karl-Friedrich Jäkel were responsible for this success.
This company orientation, which is still very successful today, with a clear focus on agricultural machinery and garden equipment, is also being successfully driven forward by the 3rd generation of the family. Since 2000, the managing directors Dipl.-Wirt. Ing. Frank Jäkel and Dipl.-Wirt. Ing. Udo Jäkel have been running the company.
As we are already thinking about tomorrow, we are shaping the future with a team of experienced and young managers.
Investment in employees, state-of-the-art technologies and a commitment to the site with over 10,000 m² of production space and the production of over 3 million machine knives and wear parts per year - this is what JÄKEL stands for, yesterday, today and in the future.
